Our Greys
Our first Grey was Sandman, who has now passed (April, 2006). He made our home, A Greyt Place, his ultimate retirement home. Sandman was a great racer in his day and comes from a line of great racers; his granddad was named Nicky Finn. Sheba (the Queen) was our second Grey adopted straight from the track in Bridgeport CT. She kept Sandman company form time to time when she wasn't traveling with me. In the summer of 2006 Sheba was diagnosed with bone cancer. She died of complications after her surgery, we will miss her dearly. Sheba (8) and Sandman (15) are both resting in that special place God has made for Greyhounds.

Marz, 8, (like the planet but not) our third Grey, was also acquired from Shoreline Star in Bridgeport, CT (how many times have I thanked Penny). Marz was a bit hyper when we got her. She quickly calmed down when she was introduced to Sheba who taught her "the ropes" of home living.
Firefly, 4, our fourth, was adopted from Greyhound Rescue and Rehab, Katonah, NY. We were at their annual fundraiser picnic when we first were introduced to her. We decided to adopt her right then and there. She is a bit shy, but we have gained her confidence as being one of the pack. She loves stuffed animals (her babies) and has quite a collection.
Chenille, 5, our fifth, was also adopted from Greyhound Rescue and Rehab, Katonah, NY. Christine Johnson (a Greyt Person), president of GRR was kind enough to locate a blue brindle for us after we fell in love with one of our boarders (Pogo) who is also a blue brindle. Chenille had a liter of pups of her own and came to us extremely well trained and exceptionally open hearted. She fit into "our pack of Greys" very quickly
Needless to say, we love The Greys and that's the main reason why we began Greyhound boarding. We have found that there is a lack of affordable true Greyhound boarding and facilities so we began A Greyt Place just for them!
